The word episkopos means "one who watches over." It symbolizes duty and responsibility. The call of a father is not merely to lead a family, but to also faithfully watch over what God has entrusted to him. In 1 Timothy 3–4, we read that true leadership begins with character, and it is proven in everyday life. Fathers, the people God has entrusted to you is your greatest calling.

Steadfast - Week 2 - 5/24/26

Paul reminds us that while persecution of believers is real and severe in many parts of the world, God will ultimately bring justice to those who afflict His people. As he turns to the second coming of Christ, he calls us to live with both urgency and humility, recognizing that Jesus could return at any time while also faithfully serving in the present. This tension keeps us spiritually alert, grounded in reverence for God, and prepared for the day we will stand before Him.
