His training and experience in digital media is noteworthy. Having been associated with DoorDarshan in India, he has produced numerous television shows, dramas, musicals, cultural heritage programs, documentaries among other live and recorded programs. He won the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Award for his poetry book Kamandal in 2007. He has also been recognized with awards by Punjab Language Department as well as Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
