episode 3. 10 Things Your Friend with Infertility Never Tells You cover

3. 10 Things Your Friend with Infertility Never Tells You

In today's episode, I share 10 things someone with infertility never tells their friends. As always, these opinions are my own. These are just some things that I have battled with internally on how to share with my friends. Here are the 10 things I share: 1. I cry a lot but still smile. 2. I appreciate hugs, not advice. 3. Yep, it hurts every time (still). 4. I put my feelings aside for others because I feel guilty. 5. I am sad for me but happy for you. 6. I need days alone to just grieve. 7. I still want to be included in stuff. 8. I feel like an outsider sometimes. 9. I can't hear or see someone complain about pregnancy/their baby. 10. I appreciate you telling me you're pregnant one on one, but please tell me any way you want! If you are my friend, I love you so much! Thanks for listening.

episode 2. What Not to Say to Someone with Infertility cover

2. What Not to Say to Someone with Infertility

In today's episode, I talk about some of the things that people say when you're trying to have a baby. I express my feelings in reaction to some of these things, but I also discuss some things that you can say that will encourage, without hurting the person struggling. I know that when people say things like "just relax and it will happen", that they are just trying to be supportive, I just know that it hurts or serves as a reminder of my struggle. As always, this podcast is just voicing my opinions and my feelings and is in no way designed to upset or hurt anyone. If you have said these things, your heart was definitely in the right place. Sometimes we don't know what to say to someone if we don't know their struggle. Thank you for listening.
