Orthodox fasting is not self-destruction. You’re Not Absorbing It: Nutrient Pairings & Orthodox Fasting

During the Apostles’ Fast, many Orthodox Christians focus almost entirely on what they are removing: meat, dairy, eggs, oil, wine.
