Prophet Ayyūb (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) called upon Allah while enduring hardship, Prophet Yūnus (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) called upon Him in the depths of darkness, and Prophet Zakariyyā (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) placed his hope in Allah’s mercy. Prophet Lūṭ (ʿalayhi as-salām) was granted wisdom and saved from a corrupt people, while Prophet Nūḥ (ʿalayhi as-salām) was rescued, along with his family, after turning to Allah in his time of hardship. Allah ﷻ also mentions the wisdom and blessings given to Prophets Dāwūd (ʿalayhi as-salām) and Sulaymān (ʿalayhi as-salām), including knowledge, judgement, and abilities granted by Him. These verses remind us that all blessings come from Allah, and true success lies in following His guidance and being grateful for His favours.

In this episode of the Tafseer series, Shaykh Dr Aḥsan Hanif explains Surah Al-Anbiyāʾ (21:58–73), where Allah ﷻ recounts how Prophet Ibrāhīm (ʿalayhi as-salām) exposed the falsehood of idol worship by challenging his people to reflect on what they worshipped. Although they briefly recognised the truth, they chose to reject it and attempted to harm him. Allah ﷻ protected Prophet Ibrāhīm (ʿalayhi as-salām), making the fire cool and safe for him, and honoured him with righteous descendants who became leaders guiding people by His command. These verses remind us to stand firm upon the truth, trust in Allah during times of hardship, and worship Him alone with sincerity.

In this episode of the Tafseer series, Shaykh Dr Aḥsan Hanif explains Surah Al-Anbiyāʾ (21:45–57), where Allah ﷻ reminds us that the Prophet ﷺ conveys only what has been revealed to him, yet many choose to ignore His message until it is too late. These verses remind us that every deed, no matter how small, will be weighed with perfect justice on the Day of Judgement. Allah ﷻ then highlights the guidance given to Prophets Mūsā (ʿalayhi as-salām), Hārūn (ʿalayhi as-salām), and Ibrāhīm (ʿalayhi as-salām). Prophet Ibrāhīm courageously called his people away from idol worship, urging them to worship the Lord of the heavens and the earth instead of blindly following the traditions of their forefathers. These verses remind us to listen to Allah’s guidance, prepare for the Hereafter, and remain firm upon the truth.
