Justin took a trip to the place we are talking about in today’s podcast; walked the lands; smelled the grass; gambled in the casinos. We will be digging into why George chose Valley Forge, the layout of valley forge, and some of the significant characters that joined George during his winter quarter.We also talk about the great news that George receives in the spring of 1778.

OH BOY! This episode, Ryan decides to drink a little bit too much. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Regardless, we push through… General Horatio Gates scores a massive win at Saratoga. He manages to capture the British General John Burgoyne. This is YUGE! After this win, people start crap-talking George behind his back. Congress decides that Georges needs a little help (aka, they want more say over Washington’s actions); so they design the Board of War to meddle in his affair a little bit. Washington learns of all this crap-talking and finds out about a plot to soil his reputation and replace him from his good-time/long-time friend, Lord Sterling… However, Washington plays it cool (mostly) and puts an end to all this by calling out the players involved.

Spoiler alert… Washington is messing it all up again. But have no fear, he's just as brave as he’s ever been.Before we talk about a massive blunder by George, we talk a little about Benny Arnold. We also get into George’s arts and craft skills. Then we learn about how Howe beats Georgie’s tush and eventually takes Philadelphia. Washington attempts to fight back, but that doesn't go well either.

My its been a long time. Sorry for the break, we have been busy celebrating the holidays. Also, one of us had all of our audio recording equipment stolen. Anyways...This podcast we take a trip down south and abroad. Basically, we have been talking a lot about military and political actions in the northern part of the colonies. The south was kind of on board with the British; they didn’t want much to change. Nathanael Green was in charge of the patriot actions in the south; as a mentee of George Washington, we are going to see a lot of similarities. But don’t worry, there are definitely some interesting differences.Also today, we talk about Benjamin Franklin the actions that he and his partners took over in France, Spain and other areas abroad.
