Boys Will Be Boys: The Modern Exvangelical Manosphere

The Gospel According to White Evangelicalism: Bekha's Story

The Soft Life Pipe Dream: Selling Womanhood in Late-Stage Capitalism

This week, Ashley and Bailee explore the resurgence of tradwife and homesteading aesthetics, “divine feminine” content, and viral online trends centered around softness, submission, and retreat from modern life — asking what cultural conditions are making these ideas feel especially appealing right now. We also look at how these movements don’t exist in a vacuum, but often intersect with broader political and religious messaging from the right that idealizes traditional gender roles and re-centers women’s value around domesticity, dependence, and family structure. At the same time, we reflect on the real fatigue many women feel with productivity-driven culture, and the complicated pull between wanting rest and simplicity while also maintaining autonomy, safety, and self-determination.
