On that day alone, Vice President JD Vance visited Milwaukee and exchanged barbs with city leaders over several topics, former Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan received no prison time for her felony obstruction conviction, Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley withdrew from the governor's race, Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson surprised many with his official opinion on the I-794 debate, fired Wisconsin Center District President and CEO Marty Brooks formally appealed his firing and demanded a public hearing to do so, and Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow died at 61 following a nearly two-year battle with cancer.
