On the latest episode of FORTIUS, I’m really excited to bring Lance the Real Deal. We discussed a wide area of topics, many of which could perhaps be an entire episode in their own right. Maybe something for us to think about. In the meantime, we discussed what it’s like to compete in the Olympic Games versus other championship competitions and the similarities of competitive stressors. His advise to the current crop of USA hammer men and the idea of, “Just decide to do it.” And of course Stuart Togher. A mythical figure to many. In the end, the man simply loved hammer throw. Lastly, Lance was gracious enough to talk us through the 1996 Olympic final. A story we should all want to hear as competitors. I’ve known lance since I was 18 years old.
