Beskrivelse

The Hillside Club is back again and the boys start this week off starting with a tribute to John Sterling, a voice that felt like home for generations of Yankees fans and one that will always be remembered in the baseball world. From there, we dive straight into the NBA Playoffs, where the Magic blowing a 3-1 lead turns into a full Jamahl Mosley conversation, and if he deserved to get fired. From there we hit how Embiid somehow drags Philly back from the dead, and the Celtics blowing a 3-1 lead proves once again that they are painfully stuck in their ways. We also hit Lakers-Thunder, whether Ant can make Spurs-Wolves a series, and what the Nuggets even do from here after another confusing playoff exit. Then we get back into playoff hockey with Montreal pulling off a wild Game 7 road win on just 9 shots, Minnesota knocking off Dallas before fireworks with Colorado, Carolina looking ready to handle Philly, and major trouble brewing in Edmonton. Later, Clubhouse Callout turns into full Knicks-Sixers chaos with RP3 and Randy calling for Philly talk, Embiid and KAT’s old beef resurfacing, Knicks fans being everywhere no matter what ticket restrictions say, and why New York can win this series in five if they keep running everything through KAT. Plus, a callout tees up MLB Quick Hits, where we talk Volpe staying in the minors, Judge and Ben Rice moving like modern-day Maris and Mantle, the Yankees playing with common sense, the AL looking rough, and the Mets still playing bad baseball. We wrap with About It, Not About It, Cam Young’s going tape to tape, Skip returning to First Take, and Bukayo Saka reminding everyone that the Starboy is back. Thanks for tuning in and see y’all next week!!

BASKETBALL WAS SAVED, the Finals & Stanley Cup are set, SGA Exposed & Champs League | Full Episode 17

The NBA Finals are officially set, and somehow the basketball gods gave us exactly what they wanted: Knicks vs. Spurs, a rematch of the 1999 NBA Finals and the NBA Cup Final all rolled into one. This week, we break down how New York finally punched its ticket back to the Finals for the first time in 27 years, whether Jalen Brunson is already the greatest Knick of all time, and what the Knicks need to do to bring a championship back to Madison Square Garden. On the other side, the Spurs survived a seven-game war with Oklahoma City as Victor Wembanyama and San Antonio continue one of the most improbable runs in recent memory. We discuss SGA's shocking drop-off after winning MVP, Chet Holmgren becoming public enemy number one on the show, and whether the NBA Cup suddenly carries more legitimacy now that its two finalists are meeting again on basketball's biggest stage. Beyond the hardwood, we react to Arsenal's heartbreaking Champions League collapse, preview a Stanley Cup Final showdown between Vegas and Carolina, debate the best ballpark experience in baseball, discuss MLB's proposed salary cap battle that could change the sport forever, and laugh at the Yankees scoring 13 runs in one inning before completely forgetting how to score again. Plus, Luke Kornet earns an "About It," Daryl Morey lands in "Not About It," we spotlight French Open breakout star Moise Kouamé, and wrap things up with random thoughts on horror movies and hotel smells.

Knicks on the verge of a FINALS…WCF tied up at 2, Vegas in Command and More | Full Episode 16

The boys are back sitting on clouds in ORANGE and BLUE SKIES as we start with the Knicks going up 3-0 and staring down their first Finals appearance since ’99. We get into why this team is firing on all cylinders right now, whether Jalen Brunson is already the greatest Knick ever, and what happens to this core if New York comes up short. From there, we shift to Spurs-Thunder being tied 2-2 after San Antonio’s dominant Game 4 win, why OKC can be such a brutal watch despite having so much talent, and how the foul-baiting keeps getting in the way of a team that should not need it. Then we move to the NHL, where the Avalanche are shockingly down 3-0 and the Canadiens have once again found themselves in an absolute battle of a series. Later, MLB Quick Hits turns into full Yankees frustration, Aaron Judge carrying an entire offense, Jacob’s Mets take aging terribly after getting swept by the Marlins, and the long list of disappointing AL teams. Plus Arsenal finally winning the Premier League after 22 years and some Knicks-Arsenal similarities, before getting into our About It/Not About It of the week. We wrap it up with a Would You Rather on brutal even-par golf versus a birdie-fest and Champions League Final predictions. Thanks for tuning in!

NBA Playoffs, Drake’s ICEMAN Takeover, The PGA and Our First Clubhouse Call-In | Full Episode 15

The boys are back with one of the most loaded episodes yet as we break down the NBA Playoffs including the Pistons completely disappearing in Game 7, why Spurs vs Thunder is about to feed families for years to come, and who the Knicks should actually want next. We also get into playoff role players getting cardio minutes, teams folding under pressure, and the overall chaos of postseason basketball right now. Then we shift over to the PGA Championship where Aaron Rai captured his first major in dramatic fashion after one of the craziest weekends the tournament has ever seen, including a packed leaderboard, brutal course setup, and an absurd 68-foot putt that completely blew the roof off the event. We also dive into Drake’s ICEMAN era after dropping three new projects, why people are confusing first impressions with actual reviews, and whether Drake gets held to completely different standards than every other artist in music. The second half of the episode features the FIRST EVER Hillside Clubhouse Call-In segment as huge Yankees and Mets fan Jacob joins the show to break down the Subway Series, the Mets potentially turning their season around, and whether the Yankees’ yearly June swoon might already be arriving early. Plus NHL playoff reactions, MLB Quick Hits, Bryson DeChambeau struggles, Conor McGregor officially returning to the UFC after five years away, and much more.

The Week of the Sweep…Knicks Move On, Yanks get Swept, PGA Chip Picks and More | Full Episode 14

The Hillside Club is back again, and the boys start this week off with the New York Knicks doing something that feels insane: SWEEPING a team. We get into how far this franchise has come, why Jalen Brunson has completely saved Knicks basketball, KAT racking up assists, OG getting rest, and why Knicks fans should feel hope. We also bounce around the NBA Playoffs with Wemby getting ejected, and the Wolves even the series while Cleveland stays perfect at home, and Harden giving everyone vintage chaos late. Then we get into Lakers-Thunder, where the series has turned into a ref conversation, the Lakers keep blowing halftime leads, and OKC remains great but miserable to watch. Then we get back into playoff hockey with Carolina sweeping a Flyers team that stunk, Minnesota getting on the board, Montreal looking like Canada’s best hope to end the Cup drought, and Ducks-Vegas waiting to explode. Later, Clubhouse Callout tees up PGA Championship picks at Aronimink, with both Rob and James rocking with Scottie and throwing Keegan Bradley in as a dark horse, before we react to the NBA Draft Lottery. Plus, MLB Quick Hits returns with the Yankees getting swept by a competent team and Shohei quietly struggling. As always, we got into our About It, Not About It of the week and wrapped up with some funny real-world takes surrounding drinks at the bar and date night etiquette. Thanks for tuning in and see y’all next week!!
