This week, Matt and Pat sit down with James Ellis, a project architect at Jeremy Blake Architects, at their London office to discuss the profession and practice of 'conservation architecture' and why 'adaptive re-use' is central to their philosophy when engaging with the historic built environment. The episode includes an interview with Stefaniia Topylko, Deputy Director of the Heritage Bureau in Lviv, who shares her thoughts on heritage within Ukraine as a whole and the impact the war has had on heritage protection within the country.
