Beskrivelse

In this very special episode, Martin and Steve are in pride of place on the Salmon Sofa on a dauntingly large stage at the inaugural Big Land Rover Fest. The boys talk the best entry point into Land Rovers, why they truly are the most capable off-roaders available, as proven on the Big Land Rover Fest off-road course. The guys are joined by Grenadier owner (don't hold it against him) and off-road driving instructor Gareth Jex, whose Lantra training was instrumental in helping build and fine-tune the off-road course. Gareth also chats about the greenlaning tours that he runs with his company, Surrey 4x4 Tours and Training, and the electric EV Spartan 4x4 is capturing the imagination of show-goers. Next up to the Salmon Sofa is Tim Brown from Dorset Land Rover Club, who is the man behind the recent Tea on the Tailgate revolution. How did it start? Where are things heading? Hear it all from the man himself as he joins Martin and Steve on the LRM Podcast. Fitter Mat is back next, to talk all about his Range Rover and his ownership journey – from fault code clearing on-the-fly, optional extras and general wafting around. As always, we love to get your feedback and questions, so fire them over! Editorial@lrm.co,uk – we'd love to read them. Enjoy the episode.

That's right – we're back in the beer tent at The Billing Off Road Show for another round of special guests, Defender Lexi joins Steve and Martin first up to share stories of her Defender 110 since catching up last year at Billing, and goes on to explain how she kicked off her weekend with excitement and mild peril. Pop-top conversions, the Billing mud run and how to go travelling with The Landy Expedition

In this week's episode, Martin and Steve are live from The Billing Off Road Show! Joining them on the salmon sofa are LRM Fest Mud & Media guests, Defender Ames and Maizee Davies, aka The Yellow Defender for chat about converting a Defender to a pop-top, and preparations for The Big Land Rover Fest. Also joining them are Harry, Chloe and Oakley from The Landy Expedition – a couple (and now toddler) who have spent a lot of time travelling in their Defender 110. They talk about how preparing the vehicle overseas has been beneficial, and the ins and outs of overlanding including how to stay out of trouble when confronted with potential conflict. As always, we love to get your feedback and questions, so drop us an email on editorial@lrm.co.uk [editorial@lrm.co.uk] – enjoy the episode!

episode Secrets of the Defender production line plus the Billing Off Road Show is this weekend! cover

Secrets of the Defender production line plus the Billing Off Road Show is this weekend!

In this week's rather warm episode, Martin and Steve are joined once again by Greg King. The guys have been busy working on Steve's "not brown" Ninety project, and have taken an hour to sit and chat about what's been going on. Ex-JLR employee and engineer Greg King imparts some interesting knowledge on how the classic Defender was put together back in the day, including some methods used during assembly and how you can implement them in your own Defender rebuild. Elsewhere, the guys answer a listener's question on how to purchase a good secondhand Tdi engine for his 110 Tithonus, and debate why Steve has chosen the wrong engine for his project. As always, we love to get your questions and feedback, so drop us an email! You can send any correspondence to editorial@lrm,co,uk – we love to read them!
