S3 EP4 - 2025 Rookies of the Year

On this episode, we catch up with the inaugural winners of the Western Mustangs Rookie of the Year awards, Zea Wetzlaugk (Swimming) & Kohl Kletke (Men's Rugby). Both had outstanding seasons in 2024-25 and were recognized during the 2025 Mustangs Awards. Zea won a silver medal (50 Free) & bronze medal (100 Free) while also taking home silver medals with the Women's 4x100 Free Relay & Women's 4x50 Free Relay teams at the OUA Championship. She was also named OUA Women's Rookie of the Year. She also won bronze at the U SPORTS Championship in the Women's 50M Free. Kole led the OUA with 90 points, while starting in all six of Western's regular season games. He scored eight tries, kicked 22 converts, and two penalty goals in his rookie year. He was given OUA Rookie of the Year honours at the year end sport awards.

S3 EP3 - Fall Recap: Men's Lacrosse

On this episode, we continue our fall recap by recognizing the 2024 Baggataway Cup Champion Men's Lacrosse team. It's the second consecutive year the Mustangs have won the championship. We talk with tournament MVP Jacob Hickey and Head Coach Chris Standish to recap the tournament and the season for the team.

S3 EP1 - Fall Recap: Women's Cross Country

On this episode, we start the third season of the podcast celebrating the fall season of the Women's Cross Country team who won both the OUA & U SPORTS Championships.  We talk with Ashley Maguire who was a 1st team OUA All-Star & 1st Team All-Canadian for her performances at both events along with OUA & U SPORTS Women's Team Coach of the Year Guy Schultz about the season that was and why the team was so successful.

S2 - EP. 6 - Season of Celebration: Shona Branton

On this episode, we continue our Mustangs Season of Celebration with our 2023 Mustangs Female Athlete of the Year Shona Branton. In only her second season with the Mustangs Branton had an outstanding year. She came into the OUA Championship looking to make an impact. She finished top of the podium in both the 50m & 100m Breaststroke, she also swam in the 4x50 & 4x100m relays where Western took silver medals, she went to the U SPORTS Championship and picked up a silver medal in the 50m Breaststroke & gold in the 100m Breaststroke.

S2 - EP. 5 - Season of Celebration: Treye Trotman

On this episode, we continue our Mustangs Season of Celebration with our 2023 Mustangs Male Athlete of the Year Treye Trotman. Trotman went undefeated 24-0 this season and took home six gold medals in six tournaments, outscoring his opponents 156-3 while also winning OUA's and U SPORTS Championships. Trotman was awarded OUA Rookie of the Year, OUA Outstanding Wrestler and U SPORTS Rookie of the Year, alongside 1st Team All-Star and 1st Team All-Canadian honours.
