How many of us can honestly say that our parenting is influenced by the spirit, as opposed to tradition and just in the moment emotional or even logical decisions? Most of us parents probably fall back on traditional parenting, how we were raised, what we believe is the right way to raise children, and even being reactive parents- going from one catastrophe to the next being lead and directed by our emotions and reactions to what is happening in the moment. It is totally and completely normal to plan out our lives, and make decisions for ourselves. Decisions that make sense. Decisions that make us comfortable. We have created a very comfortable life for ourselves. With a soft, cozy blanket, on a soft, comfortable couch, sitting in front of a warm and cozy fire. That is our comfort zone. The Lord's invitations require us to get uncomfortable. To ditch the cozy blanket, on the comfortable couch, and to wade through some deep waters. But when we do it, when we respond to the call and SHOW UP, he has INCREDIBLE Blessings created for each of us individually. No, not just what we need. He will blow our minds and spoil us rotten!
