His experience has led him to write about transgender rights, gender equity, disaster displacement, refugees, and humanitarian-development nexus issues. Committed to social justice, Dr. Liu worked as a journalist and researcher and has volunteered through numerous capacities. He currently sits on the board of Taiwan Alliance to Promote Civil Partnership Rights (TAPCPR) – a grassroot NGO dedicated to gender issues.
