Beskrivelse

As we continue the series on the vision of our church, we consider the commonalities between the 3 pillars of the church. In considering the commonalities, we see that all 3 pillars are things that we have in our control (having heaven in our homes, seeking God and aiming to look like Jesus). Many times, we can get overwhelmed by things we cannot control. Problems, other people, past failures and outcomes all cloud our mind so that we are not focused on what the Lord has given us today to handle. Instead of focusing on what we cannot control, God is asking that we manage what we do have control over. We look at the life of Moses to consider how he managed what the Lord gave him to eventually lead the people out of Egypt. Our prayer is that you partner with the Lord and give the little you have so the Lord can make much out of it. As always, thanks for listening. Please let us know if you have any prayer requests or questions at theservingchurchdallas@gmail.com. Thanks again for listening and hope you have a great week. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy [https://acast.com/privacy] for more information.

Vision Sunday (Pt 4. Winning in the Dark)

As we look at the vision of the church, we consider any commonalities. We see that the vision of the church begins in the dark. When no one is looking and in areas that seem overwhelming, we pray that every member begins to fight the battle. Winning the battle of the dark has always been a message throughout the Bible. God showed us this in creation and Jesus shows us this in his life. As we consider the battle of the dark, we consider if we have truly experienced this light of Jesus in our lives and ask honest questions of reflection. As always, we appreciate you for listening. We are praying that you encounter the love of Jesus. If you have any questions or prayer requests, please reach out at theservingchurchdallas@gmail.com. Thanks and have a blessed week. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy [https://acast.com/privacy] for more information.

Vision Sunday (Looking like Jesus)

We as a church hope to have an insatiable desire to look more like Jesus. As many can casually approach the Lord, we want to be a group that seeks him with all of us. Jesus is looking for a people on fire for Him. But how can we develop an insatiable desire to look like him? As hunger is developed physically by developing habits of eating, we want to encourage the same for our spiritual life. The desperation for God will not begin till we begin to seek him, but the promise that we have is that when we seek, we will find. And when we hunger, we will be filled. We consider different areas of our life that we must develop a hunger and how we can begin to do that day to day. As always, we appreciate you listening and joining in online. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at theservingchurchdallas@gmail.com. Thanks again and we pray you look more like Jesus each day. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy [https://acast.com/privacy] for more information.

episode Vision Sunday (Having Heavenly Homes) cover

Vision Sunday (Having Heavenly Homes)

As God continues to guide us towards the vision of the church, we emphasize the importance of having heaven in our homes. Many times, we value and put great importance into the mission fields, as we should. We pray, we prepare and we plan in preparation. We want to also encourage believers to see their homes as mission fields where they can bring the gospel and the fullness of Jesus. The same work required for the mission field will be required for your home! So get ready to be used by God where you are! As we study the story of Noah and how he saved his family, we learn what is required for us to begin to see our homes as mission fields. As always thanks for listening and we hope you have a great week. Feel free to reach out to us at theservingchurchdallas@gmail.com. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast.
