Beskrivelse

Meanwhile, I was sitting at The Old Beach Bar on Front Beach Rd in Panama City one day, watching the tourists go by. Flip-flops slapping the pavement… sunburns already setting in… arms full of beach chairs, coolers, and more plans than the day could ever hold. You could tell the first-timers from the ones who had been there before. The first-timers were in a hurry. Trying to do everything, see everything, capture everything… like if they didn’t, they might miss something. The others… they moved slower. They knew the tide would come in whether they rushed or not. They knew the sunset didn’t show up any earlier just because you stared at the horizon all day. They knew some of the best moments weren’t planned at all… they just happened somewhere between doing nothing and paying attention. I sat there for a while, watching it all play out… the rush, the pause, the laughter, the little frustrations. Most people don’t miss out because they don’t have enough time… They miss out because they never really settle into the moment they’re in. Always thinking about the next stop. The next plan. The next thing that’s supposed to be better than right now. But life doesn’t work that way. Some of the best conversations happen when you weren’t planning to talk. Some of the best memories come from the days you didn’t try so hard to make one. And some of the best parts of life… show up when you finally slow down enough to notice them. Remember, unless you're somewhere you don't want to be, enjoy the moment you are in before it turns into a wish I could've moment. Have a fantastic day… see you on the radio. episode The Space Between The Waves Podcast You Don't Have To Master Something to Enjoy It cover

The Space Between The Waves Podcast You Don't Have To Master Something to Enjoy It

Meanwhile, there’s a quiet freedom in being bad at something new. I was sitting out behind a little beachside café once watching a guy learn how to play guitar. Now when I say learn, I mean every chord sounded like the seagulls were fighting over a french fry. People walking by would kind of grin, some shook their heads, but the funny thing was…he didn’t seem embarrassed at all. He just kept playing, laughing every time he messed up and starting over again. Somewhere along the way growing up, a lot of us started believing we’re supposed to already know how to do everything before we even begin. We avoid trying new things because we’re afraid of looking foolish, failing, or not getting it right the first time. But the truth is, every person you admire was once completely terrible at the thing they now do well. There’s something freeing about allowing yourself to be a beginner again. No pressure to be perfect, no need to impress anyone…just learning, growing, and figuring things out one mistake at a time. Sometimes life gets better the moment you stop worrying about looking silly and simply enjoy the experience of becoming something new. By the end of the afternoon that guitar player still wasn’t very good…but he was a whole lot better than when he started, and he probably had more fun than anyone else there. Remember, you don’t have to master something to enjoy it. Sometimes the courage to begin is the real victory. Have a wonderful day…See you on the radio. The Space Between The Waves Podcast Not Everything in Life is meant to last forever to still have meaning

Gooooood Morning Everyone Happy Wednesday, Welcome to the Halfway Point! Meanwhile, Janice owns the Sunshine Flower Shop just off Ocean BLVD where her motto hangs above the old wooden doorway…“Every day is beautiful in its own way.” Her little shop isn’t really just a flower shop at all. It’s more like a mix between a flower boutique, antique store, and a collection of forgotten memories brought back to life. Flowers sit inside old coffee cups, rusty cracker tins, faded glass bottles, and just about anything with a bottom that can still hold water. Nothing matches…and somehow that’s exactly what makes the place feel perfect. One rainy afternoon while I was standing there listening to an old beach song play softly through the speakers, Janice looked over while arranging sunflowers into an old pie pan and said, “There’s a hidden cost to treating every choice like it has to be permanent.” At first, I didn’t think much about it, but the more I watched people come and go through that little shop, the more it made sense. Some flowers lasted weeks, others only days, but every single one still brought beauty to the room while it was there. Life works a lot like that. Some seasons stay awhile, some people drift in and out like the tide, and some paths were only meant to teach us something before leading us somewhere else. Maybe the mistake isn’t changing direction sometimes…maybe the mistake is holding onto things long after they’ve stopped helping us grow. Remember, not everything in life is meant to last forever to still have meaning. Have a great day…See you on the radio. episode The Space Between The Waves Podcast Trust your Instincts Protect your Peace cover

The Space Between The Waves Podcast Trust your Instincts Protect your Peace

Meanwhile, we all have that inner voice…the one that quietly speaks up when something doesn’t feel quite right. It’s the voice that tells you to question someone’s intentions, warns you when danger may be close, or in some cases simply reminds you that yes…you are officially lost again with no idea how you ended up on this road in the first place. The older I get, the more I’ve learned that voice usually knows what it’s talking about. Life has a funny way of testing us with distractions, pressure, and people who want us to become who they think we should be instead of who we really are. Staying true to yourself isn’t always the easiest path because sometimes honesty, loyalty, and knowing your own worth comes with a price. Not everyone will understand your journey, your choices, or the direction your heart pulls you toward. But somewhere between the sunrise, the wrong turns, the hard lessons, and the quiet moments alone, you start realizing peace comes from being comfortable with who you are. The people meant to walk beside you will never require you to pretend to be someone else just to belong. Remember, trust your instincts, protect your peace, and never lose yourself trying to fit into places you were never meant to stay. Have a great day…See you on the radio. episode The Sapce Between The Waves Podcast Rejection does not define Your Destination cover

The Sapce Between The Waves Podcast Rejection does not define Your Destination

Gooooood Morning Everyone Happy Monday, another week full of opportunities is here! Meanwhile, somewhere between the closed doors, unanswered calls, missed chances, and plans that didn’t work out the way you hoped, there’s a lesson most people eventually learn… rejection isn’t always the end of the road. Sometimes it’s just a detour pointing you somewhere you were supposed to go all along. I know it doesn’t always feel that way in the moment. Rejection has a way of making people question themselves. Whether it’s business, friendships, relationships, dreams, or opportunities, being told “no” can make even the strongest people stop and wonder if they’re heading in the wrong direction. But life has a funny way of showing you later why certain things never worked out. Some doors close because what’s behind them was too small for where you’re eventually headed. Some people walk away because they were only meant to be part of one chapter, not the whole story. And sometimes rejection simply forces you to become stronger, wiser, and more prepared for what’s still waiting ahead. The truth is, nearly everyone you admire has heard “no” more times than they can count. The difference is they kept moving forward anyway. I’ve learned that the road usually doesn’t end where you thought it would. Sometimes the best sunsets, opportunities, and memories happen after you took the turn you never planned on taking in the first place. Remember, if something didn’t work out the way you hoped, don’t park there too long. Refuel, reset, and keep going. There’s still a lot of road left ahead of you. Rejection may change your direction, but it never has to define your destination. Have a wonderful day… see you on the radio. episode The Space Between The Waves Podcast Choosing Peace over Pride cover

The Space Between The Waves Podcast Choosing Peace over Pride

Meanwhile, there are moments in life when the best thing you can do is say nothing at all. Not because you’ve given up or because you don’t care, but because not every situation deserves your energy, your explanation, or your peace. I’ve learned over the years that silence can be one of the most powerful things a person has. It’s not weakness… it’s wisdom. We’ve all felt that urge to respond immediately, defend ourselves, prove a point, or make sure we get the last word. But sometimes silence says more than a thousand explanations ever could. It gives emotions time to settle and keeps you from saying things frustration may convince you to say in the moment. Choosing quiet isn’t losing… it’s choosing peace over pride. Silence also teaches you to listen differently, not just to other people, but to yourself. When the noise settles down, you begin hearing the tone behind someone’s words, the hurt behind someone’s anger, and sometimes even the truth behind your own feelings. And honestly, it pains me seeing good friends tear each other apart over things that, years from now, probably won’t matter nearly as much as the friendship itself. One disagreement, one misunderstanding, one heated moment suddenly becomes bigger than all the memories, laughter, hard times, and years spent standing beside each other. Life’s too short to let temporary emotions permanently damage meaningful connections. Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is pause, stay quiet for a little while, and remember what truly matters before speaking. Remember, not every battle deserves a fight, and not every silence means someone stopped caring. Have a wonderful day… see you on the radio.
