It’s so hard to remember that there might be filters on the videos or photos, they have contoured their make up, they know how to work the camera, and they know how to pose. Pick your battles

We’re recording in the heatwave and it is disgusting! We recorded over zoom so there are a couple of sound issues but bear with us! There’s a bit of political discussion, and with it still being that time of the month for Mimi, there’s a little anger there. And with this anger comes more anger at relying too much on our phones and social media for background noise. Instagram can be totally overwhelming, and full of information that can upset you, make you feel bad, or make you envious of other people’s lives. Or their portrayal of a life that might not be true. It is ok to stay in a happy bubble, and keep yourself safe. The most important thing for YOU is keeping you safe, and if you’re getting overwhelmed or spiralling, remember the power of the pause. We promise next week’s episode is a lot brighter. Lots of love!

Blockers from doing the inner work

Mimi gets high up on the high horse about the lack of education about women’s bodies and our menstrual cycles. Those of us menstruating in this heat I hope you’re coping, and if you have any recommendations on how to get through the luteal phase do let us know. Onto the subject of the week: what are your blockers stopping you from doing that inner work? “If I keep it in it will go away” is definitely not the case.
