Tony Giles has visited 128 countries around the world. He is also totally blind and 80% deaf. He has written three books about his travels and seeing the world his way. His ultimate goal is to travel to every country in the world. In an interview with Forbes, Tony said : “people who say they’d like to travel but have family, a job, a mortgage, are simply making excuses. Anyone can travel if they really want to. It doesn’t have to cost much. I think the majority of people are afraid of the unknown and prefer to stay within their comfort zone.” If this episode doesn’t inspire you to book to that trip, then nothing will. Nick Butter has ran a marathon in every country in the world. 3 marathons a week, every week, for 96 weeks, totalling 196 marathons in as many countries. Doing so he claimed the crown for the first and only person to run a full marathon distance in every country on the planet. He’s an endurance athlete, adventurer, speaker, best selling author and a multiple world record holder. He is also the fastest person to ever run the 5,420 miles around the coast of Great Britain. During his travels he has also faced gunfire, muggings, dog attacks and a minor heart attack. In short, what I’m trying to say is – what a start to Season 3.
