This week we get our first Star Trek: TNG clip show with the Season Finale of S2 of Star Trek: The Next Generation, "Shades of Gray." This episode tricks you into thinking it is going to be about Riker almost dying from alien infection, but then when the B-Story is supposed to kick in, it turns into a clips show. We touch on the "they were out of money" of it all, mention the writer's strike, but not in depth because we don't do that! Man, Frakes sometimes gets tied to bad Star Trek Season Finales... TNG S2 EP 21: "Peak Performance"

"It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose. That is not a weakness, that is life." "Do you want to play a game?"...Is what Starfleet asked Picard. To which he said, "I would rather not, but I guess we need to be ready to fight the Borg so, sure." In the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode, Peak Performance, Riker and a ragtag crew in a derelict ship, face off against the might of Picard and the Enterprise. Will Word and Riker's guile, and Acting Ensign Crusher's open cheating, be enough to win? Or will it all go wonky when a Ferengi captain thinks he smells a profit? Oh, also, they play this weird game with the stuffy strategist observer where the competitors have these weird finger-milking gloves on while they play Connect 12 or whatever. Pretty gross! Adam and Al got together on the computer once again to record an episode of Trek in the Valley for YOU! This week the dudes in the Valley are covering a classic TNG episode which gets some of their highest ratings yet. In, "The Emissary" Worf is faced with a lady from his past and then he presumably loses his virginity. Also, some thawing Klingons pose a threat to Starfleet outposts. Don't worry, it all comes together, Star Trek style, and the dudes talk about it. TNG S2 EP 19: "Manhunt"

"What a handsome race." This week the great Lwaxana Troi is back to shake things up on the Enterprise. She is going through Betazoid Super Menopause and she has her sights set on Picard. Picard attempts to hide from Lwaxana in a Dixon Hill story on the Holodeck that absolutely does not pay off in terms of action. Instead, Lwaxana becomes quite taken with a holo-bartender that she thinks is a genuine human man! Oh yeah, also, she is very racist and she solves an assassination plot out of the blue at the end. Also, also Adam tells the story about how he did road rage and thusly got road raged at!  **The audio is weird on this one. We had a bad input that caused some cracking. Still a good listen, because we have done this many times and are quite skilled, but you might get a crackle here and there and it isn't your ear budders.** Like the podcast and throw us a review! Meaning, Al is off of his adventure with trying to decide if fish is bad or not (it was), not, we are talking about the Joe Dante Looney Toons sequel. What an episode with which to return to coming back with...returning to! Picard is right in his element solving a space mystery. Hundreds of years ago a group of space colonists was split in two and half of them became old timey Irish people and the other half became science clone people!
