Beskrivelse

In this insightful conversation, Dr. Lynn Hellerstein speaks with Jerry Fishman, a lifelong creator, performer, and transformational leader devoted to helping people see—and live—beyond the limits of who they’ve been told they are, to talk about what it truly means to live your deepest purpose. Jerry shares how purpose is not something we find outside ourselves, but something we reconnect with by listening inwardly and aligning with what feels most true. Drawing from his journey as a young artist in New York and his transformational work today, Jerry explores why so many people feel disconnected from purpose due to distractions, responsibilities, and external expectations. He explains that purpose is not the same as career or achievement—it’s about fulfillment, presence, and authentic expression. Tune in to explore what it really means to live on purpose, why purpose is not tied to career or performance, and how intuition, presence, and reconnecting with childhood joy can guide us back to ourselves. Jerry and Lynn also discuss meditation, trust, and the importance of quieting the external world to listen more deeply within. Jerry shares that purpose is ultimately an expression of love and closes by reflecting on his own soul purpose: bringing people together, helping others feel they belong, and empowering people to live more authentically through his “Awakening Purpose” destination retreats and global outreach work with I Am Humanity. This episode is a heartfelt invitation to stop performing life—and start living from what is most true within you. Celebrating 74 Years of Healing, Vision, and Transformation with Dr. Lynn Hellerstein (Episode #157)

It’s Dr. Lynn Hellerstein’s birthday week! Our beloved host is celebrating 74 years of healing, transformation, and inspiring others through the power of vision, spirituality, and personal growth. In this episode, Dr. Lynn reflects how the lesson of letting go (a topic she has discussed in an earlier podcast) is an ongoing journey. This time, she is inspired by the idea of “breaking the habit of being myself,” as she shares her ongoing journey of releasing perfectionism, anxiety, negative self-talk, and fear through courage, community, love, and trust in the Divine. Dr. Lynn discusses the importance of intention, hope, love, and “kesher,” the Hebrew word for deep heartfelt connection. Through keynote speaking, mentoring, podcasting, visualization experiences, and her work as a RIM (Regenerating Images in Memory) Facilitator, she remains committed to expanding people’s vision and helping them transform their lives. She shares how her RIM journey began more than 20 years ago after being diagnosed with a colon tumor, leading her through deep personal healing work. Since January 2026, she has been helping clients improve decision-making, release emotional and physical stress, resolve conflict, and neutralize painful memories. As part of her birthday celebration, she is offering listeners a free RIM session with the request that they donate to a favorite charity. The conversation also explores spirituality, meditation, energy healing, and the influence of Dr. Joe Dispenza’s work on changing thought patterns and emotional responses. Dr. Lynn reflects on recent spiritual time spent in San Miguel, Mexico, and shares how focusing on love instead of fear can transform your energy and your life. Listeners are encouraged to reflect on what they truly love, what stories or limitations they are ready to release, and what they want to create next in life. As Dr. Lynn reminds us, when you let go of worry and negative self-talk, amazing opportunities often appear. Sometimes what feels like an ending is actually the beginning of something new. Dr. Lynn Hellerstein, Developmental Optometrist, co-owner of Hellerstein & Brenner Vision Center, P.C., award-winning author and international speaker, holds powerful and inspiring conversations with her guests in the areas of health, wellness, education, sports and psychology. More Than Hope: An 18-Year Journey on Chemotherapy and a Multidisciplinary Cancer Team with Glenn Sturm (Episode #154)

In this powerful episode, Dr. Lynn Hellerstein speaks with Glenn Sturm, bestselling author, astrophotographer, and 18 years on chemo and counting. Guided by values like “Sturms never quit,” Glenn shares how he pursues passion, spreads positivity, and refuses to let cancer define his life. He highlights the impact of a multidisciplinary cancer care team where specialists collaborate and patients are part of the decision-making. This approach can significantly reduce mortality and improve quality of life compared to solo care. From managing cancer fatigue to using simple remedies like ginger for nausea, Glenn shares practical ways to navigate treatment. Originally given 2.5 years to live, he’s now looking at 30—crediting team-based care and self-advocacy. Despite its benefits, multidisciplinary care faces barriers like insurance and provider resistance particularly in the United States. While it’s typical to find palliative care team and tumor boards in hospitals, it is more challenging to find a true multidisciplinary cancer care team. Glenn’s mission is to raise awareness and encourage patients to seek better, more collaborative care through his books Warrior Hate War, Cancer Set Me Free and his upcoming work More Than Hope. Policy or Safety? The Traumatic Impact of Immigration Enforcement on Children with Gladis Molina (Episode #153)

Dr. Lynn Hellerstein sits down with Gladis Molina, an advocate for immigrant children and families, to explore the profound and often overlooked impact of immigration enforcement on young lives. In this episode, Gladis breaks down the layered risks families face today—from detention to forced separation. She explains how families are often placed into immigration custody, and how outcomes differ depending on a child’s citizenship status. In many cases, children who are U.S. citizens are left behind when their parents are detained, sometimes entering the child welfare system—creating deep emotional trauma for both parent and child. Gladis shares her own childhood experience growing up during civil unrest in El Salvador, reflecting on the lasting effects of being separated from her mother at a young age. That early trauma continues to shape her work today as she advocates for children navigating similar fears, loss, and uncertainty. The conversation also highlights how fear of enforcement is preventing families from seeking medical care, impacting children’s long-term health and well-being. Gladis emphasizes the urgent need for clear boundaries to protect sensitive spaces like schools and healthcare facilities. Despite these challenges, communities are stepping up—escorting children safely to school, raising awareness, and supporting families in crisis. Gladis discusses her work with the Young Center for Immigrant Children's Rights, including efforts to reunify children with deported parents and ways individuals can get involved. This episode is a powerful call to awareness and action, inviting listeners to reflect on their values, find courage in small acts, and support efforts that protect the safety and dignity of all children.
