Heather was 9 years old at the time of the siege and was one of the 30 children allowed to leave the building during the stand off. She left her father in the compound thinking they would soon be reunited. Weeks later he was killed in the Waco inferno. She heard people say, “Their parents must not love them [the children] enough. They just started a fire and killed themselves.” She recently moved back to live at Mt. Carmel. This is her story.
