Beskrivelse

Sis, when was the last time you intentionally chose you?   In this week’s episode of You’re The Katch, we’re having an honest conversation about what happens when we spend so much time being everything for everyone else that we forget ourselves in the process.   As Black women, we’re often celebrated for our strength but strength without restoration can lead to burnout, exhaustion, and losing sight of who we are outside of our responsibilities.   In Episode 11, “Sis, Put Yourself Back on the List,” I’m sharing my personal journey of intentionally choosing myself through wellness, boundaries, consistency, and everyday acts of self-respect. From prioritizing my health and skincare to keeping promises to myself and embracing rest without guilt, we’re talking about what self-care truly looks like in real life.   Because self-care isn’t always luxury it often looks like discipline.   Together, we’ll explore: ✨ Signs you’ve abandoned yourself while caring for everyone else ✨ Why choosing yourself is necessary, not selfish ✨ Practical ways to prioritize your wellness daily ✨ How to reconnect with the woman beneath the titles and responsibilities ✨ The importance of keeping promises to yourself   This episode is your reminder that you deserve the same love, care, grace, and attention that you so freely give to others.   So grab your favorite drink, take a deep breath, and join me for a conversation that just might inspire you to finally put yourself back on your own list.   Remember, beautiful people… You are worthy, you are called, and above all else… You’re The Katch.

Episode 15: Sis...What Do You Do for Fun?

Sis… what do you do for fun? It's a simple question, but for many women, it's surprisingly difficult to answer. Somewhere between building careers, raising children, supporting loved ones, and handling life's endless responsibilities, many of us have forgotten what it feels like to simply enjoy ourselves. In this episode, we're talking about why hobbies matter, why joy isn't something you have to earn, and how reconnecting with the things that make you feel alive can protect you from burnout and help you rediscover who you are outside of your titles and responsibilities. If you've been surviving more than you've been living, this conversation is for you. Scripture: Ecclesiastes 3:12 Challenge of the Week: Do one thing this week simply because it's fun. No productivity attached just joy. Remember: You weren't created just to manage life. You were created to experience it.
