episode Bonus Episode - Men's Mental Health Awareness w/Jimmy Couture cover

Description

In this episode, we’re not discussing comedy, but instead, creating awareness around men’s mental health. Jimmy Couture is a men’s transformation coach. He’s helping men stuck in life gain clarity and level up into the man they’re proud of. In this episode we dive into Jimmy’s life story of loss, street life, jail time, and eventually, reform. I worked with Jimmy for 12 weeks and I do not believe I would have started this podcast or doing stand-up again if I hadn’t. You can follow him on Instagram @jimmy_couture

Episode 9 - Without a Plan w/Pamela Wardrip

Sitting down with comedians from across the globe to find out why they are pursuing stand-up comedy and what they are learning about themselves at this stage in their lives. Pamela Wardrip is a San Diego-based comedian, actress, writer, navy veteran, and cancer survivor. She left a six-figure job with a Fortune 500 company to pursue comedy without a plan. She is the granddaughter of a Baptist preacher and the daughter of a tattoo artist. Pamela has been performing stand-up for 7 years and as a one half of Silver Sisters Comedy, she has been producing variety shows across the San Diego area. Episode 8 - Still Neurotic After All These Years w/Perry Block

Sitting down with comedians from across the globe to find out why they are pursuing stand-up comedy and what they are learning about themselves at this stage in their lives. Follow us on Instagram @A_Bit_Later_Podcast Perry Block is a humor writer and stand-up comic living in Havertown, PA which is close enough to the Philadelphia Main Line so that he can wrongly brag he lives there. Writing has been a passion for Perry ever since he learned it does not require math. Since his early thirties, Perry has written humor pieces for multiple Philadelphia publications, and since 2010 he has published his ongoing Substack/blog, Still Neurotic After All These Years, now with over 1,000 humor pieces. While working in Human Resources, Perry created the Human Resources Comedy Troupe — an SNL-style sketch group for HR professionals — writing most of the material and performing in sketches and song parodies. Since 2023, Perry has been performing stand-up and sketch comedy throughout the Philadelphia area. Now 75, he says he has no regrets except for the nagging worry that not only has he measured his life in coffee spoons, frequently the coffee hasn’t even been hot.
