EPIDSODE 9 - DEALING - How to Deal with an Issue You are Struggling With Are you overwelmed at work? Are you struggling with family? Are you fighting with partner? And are these things causing you to spiral into a worry-loop? This might sound like: 1. unsure of what to do with (said situation) 2. find yourself dwelling 3. angry 4. hopeless about the situation This hack has helped me and a couple of clients: (What you will need is a notebook and a pen) Perform an Interview Pretend you are interviewing someone to replace you (in your job, in your family, in your relationship). Ask the person that you are interviewing how would you handle this situation (describe the situation)? Example: If you were asked to do an additional task but your plate was full how would you handle this? Once you ask this question your brain will start to automatically generate answers (write these down). Then ask for a couple of additional ways they might deal with the issue at hand. Evaluate the ways you have come up with. This will allow you to step out of the situation and evaluate how you truly feel about the situation without being in the worry loop.
