episode A COVID ICU Survival Story with Kelli Wilms (Part 3) cover

Description

In the 3rd and final episode of my interview with Kelli Wilms, we continue along the road of recovery. We discuss the change that took place when Kelli decided to show up for herself the same way she has been showing up for kids and families at her clinic for 30 years as a speech therapist. After surviving COVID and a prolonged hospitalization on a ventilator, Kelli was left to navigate something much harder than simply “making it through”. In this episode, we talk about recovery, identity, grief, rebuilding, and the slow process of finding yourself again after life changes you completely.

At The End Of The Day: Dr. Oz Called This “Grooming” - As a Pediatrician, I Need to Respond

When public figures use inflammatory language to describe standard pediatric care, it puts children at risk. In this episode of At the End of the Day, I respond to recent comments by Dr. Mehmet Oz about confidential adolescent visits and explain why private conversations between teens and their pediatrician are an essential part of safe, evidence-based care. I talk about trust, mental health, adolescent development, and why these conversations can be life-saving. California Primary Decoded with Henry Shadwinkle

In this special DoctorLady Interviews episode, I sit down with Henry Schadwinkel, senior (almost graduate!) political science and public policy major, to break down how California’s primary election actually works. We talk about the top-two “jungle primary,” why this is a time to learn and evaluate rather than rush to decide, and how voters can thoughtfully compare candidates in the weeks ahead. With vote-by-mail ballots still to come, there is still time to listen, ask questions, and engage in the process. This conversation is about bringing clarity to the noise and helping people feel more informed, not pressured. Be sure to like, subscribe, and share with someone who wants to better understand California’s governor’s race.
