It is SO common to experience dissatisfaction in our worldly pleasures, desires, and circumstances. The truth is, nothing (not a single thing) on this side of Heaven can bring us the eternal satisfaction that God alone will bring.

As we head into election season, it is important to remember and refer back to scripture for guidance. The Bible gives us clear instruction on how we are to approach authority and leadership. It also commands love and unity, not hate and division. As Christians, we are to vote for a candidate whose morals and actions most closely align with those of Christ.

Jesus uses a gardener, a vine, and branches to explain the roles of God, Jesus, and us. Jesus tells us what a true friend is in John 15:13, and then goes on to show us this sacrifice in His death on the cross.
