Gravitated Arts Presents:  Nyaduoth Lok (Official Interview)  Host: Aleer Kurt  Nyaduoth Lok, who I discovered on Instagram late last year, is a College basketball player — for George Washington University. From Ethiopia, to Melbourne Australia, to Washington America. Basketball has been quite good to her. Giving her the ability to play and study in the States, as well as an opportunity — two years ago to Captain and play for her national team, South Sudan. A strong characteristic I noticed from Nya, is her ability to not let setbacks or negativity put her down. For example, a few years ago when she told an Aunty her dreams for basketball, she was told, “wow, that is not a dream. You should just get married.” Instead of letting the comment defeat her.
