Episode Your ability to transform is directly related to your psychological flexibility Cover

Your ability to transform is directly related to your psychological flexibility

Key premise:   Our ability to adapt to changing circumstances is just as important as commitment and discipline, because corrections mean improvements and this is real life.  Why it’s important: “Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.” - Mike Tyson Having a plan going in is critical.  But when something happens that’s not in the plan, many times we’ll freeze in fear.  Heavy traffic, bad health diagnosis, slow business month, weather event, COVID.  How you react to adversity (or even just different) defines you and your ability to persevere.   A deviation from the plan doesn’t mean failure.  If adapting to changing circumstances moves you closer to where you want to be than checking off the box just to say you did it, then by adapting, you’ve made for an effective day.
