Hello again friends!! HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO ALL THE POP'S OUT THERE!!! So - the last few podcasts have had a few issues and I was getting frustrated and losing confidence in the program I use... I went to zoom and found the same issue, so I started to suspect it was my computer. After hours of trying to fix the issue, I needed a 45 mins test, so I asked on the 'Gram if anyone had 45 mins to spare to help lil ol me - AND FORMER CO-HOST CHRIS MCMILLAN ANSWERED THE CALL!! Since it was Chris, why not take a minute to talk shop and make a lil pod out of it! - OF COURSE the big buzz around here was the release of Jake Peacock from One - I wanted to hear about the pros and cons from his point of view, What is next for North America's hottest Muay Thai free agent, Quinn gearing up for his big rematch in Australia, and - is the Calgary fight scene too saturated? Hello Fight Fans! Welcome back to another episode! Today I got the opportunity to chat with someone we are all familiar with be it from inside the ring fighting to the LIFESTYLE/MOVEMENT that's known as the Muay Thai Muppets and everything in between in the Thaiboxing scene. I saw Jason initially around 07 - 09 in Thailand.... can't remember.. anyway, a little time after that I recognized his name on a Frank Lee fight poster in Edmonton that one of my fighters was on. since then I have been following the journey! I did see he came off a podcast not long ago talking about his background, so I didn't want to really get into it again. So we got right into from how the fight in Edmonton came about, why he's known as the "fight any man, anywhere, any weight" (Andy Howson) kind of fighter, some of his biggest fights against world champions, when he knew it was time to hang up the gloves and how he went from the UK to Dubai. ONCE AGAIN - it's so cool to be able to sit and have a chat with people you have been following for years and hearing the war stories. Their's nothing like Muay Thai!! SHOUT OUT TO YOU JASON!

Something a little different today! after speaking with Jonathan, he had the idea of us three getting together on a podcast and talking about the scene where we are, the scene globally and simply talking shop with Muay Thai nerds doing similar things online. These are a couple chaps I really pay attention to online and look up to them in the Muay Thai media space! right off the bat we talk about if Muay Thai is growing, but is it growing for the better?.. we also talk about our own opinions on Muay Thai in the olympics and if we would like to see it happen? and we also chat about what we have going on in our lives in different areas of the world. This was our 1st time doing this and we certainly plan to do more! These guys are deep into Muay Thai where they are located and they know what they are talking about!! Today I chat with a man I have been watching since 2003-05 ish area - World Muay Thai champion, Andy Howson!! as far as Muay Thai goes, Andy has done it all! fought legends, beat legends, won big fights, lost big fights, collected titles along the way and NEVER had a boring fight!! along with doing things on the dangerous side of the ropes - Andy is also a world class trainer and one of the masterminds behind the renowned Hitman Fight League! it has been cool to watch the journey for decades and finally get a conversation with the Punisher! On this one we chat about Andy's new venture into the sweet science and life after competing in Muay Thai, we talk about where his RABID BADGER style in the ring comes from, why he still wants to compete and what he gets out of it as well as the a little behind the scenes of Hitman Fight League. I also ask Andy a few questions about some of his most memorable fights, his UK Mount Rushmore and of course - his top 3 fighters of all time! Welcome back fight friends! Today I got to talk shop with one of the men helping lead the surge of Irish Muay Thai - Collie Mahon from Dublin Combat Academy! I have been really watching and paying attention to Collie and his team at DCA on social media the last few years. Seeing his unique but clearly effective pad work with his fighters, the fighters themselves fighting at top level-on top promotions-winning big fights, and the culture and camaraderie of his team that you can clearly see shine through their social media. So I wanted to have a chat - and BOY did it deliver!! with the rise of the new breed of Irish Thaiboxing, I wanted to know where this explosion came from, why and who is responsible! haha - we also chat about Collie's coaching philosophy and why it works so well for him and his team - we talk about his return to the ring after a 10 year layoff - the global evolution of the sport and how his team at DCA stay at the forefront - and you all know my opinion on calf kicks!! but I wanted to hear from Coach Collie what his opinion was on the subject. Collie really does have a coaches eye with a healthy obsession for Thaiboxing, which makes him on of the best trainers in the sport!
