The Benefits of Studying Abroad

In May 2026, I had a chat with Jonathan, a Senior Institutional Relations Officer at a study abroad company. He also happens to be one of my closest friends and the person who inspired my first overseas move. A British SLP in New Zealand (Nelson)

In May 2026, I had a chat with Grace, a British SLP living and working in Nelson, New Zealand. Nelson is at the top of New Zealand’s South Island. You might know that the Marlborough wine region is on the South Island. But did you also know that Nelson is home to the “Centre of New Zealand” monument? Well, technically, the geographic centre of New Zealand is about 60 kilometres southwest of Nelson.
