Description

Matthew, Christopher & Henry return for a slow news day. June 26th didn't have a massive amount going on, but it seems like they still have plenty to talk about. There's a lovely little Hurt Locker coincidence and some interesting Bee Gee word play as well as a bunch of Glastonbury trivia. The birthday band DOES involve a problematic vocalist, but with the recent resurgence of Michael Jackson in popular culture, we doubt anyone will even bat an eyelid. Harry is pleased with the early finish due to his crochet club moving their AGM forward, so both the boys decide to call it a day and will be back for July 31st. Threshold Festival Reunion is on August 1st in Liverpool's Baltic Triangle and you can find out more/buy a ticket here: https://thresholdfestival.my.canva.site/ Follow us on Insta, YouTube & Tik Tok all @thebizandshizzle Don't email us, nobody emails anymore. Session 15 : May 29th

Session 15 of The Biz and Shizzle sees co-hosts Chris and Matty escaping a blistering heatwave in their favourite virtual pub garden. In host updates, Chris recaps a frantic 10-day UK tour, highlighting a solo trip to a David Bowie exhibition where the ticketing system ironically lacked an option for attending "alone". He also deep-dives into a massive movie watchlist, cheekily crowning Linda Hamilton an absolute "smoke show" in Terminator 2. Meanwhile, Matty is busy constructing his booming poultry empire, "Chicken City", funded entirely by selling fresh eggs to local campers. The trivia segment keeps the actual answers locked down tight. Matty fires off riddles covering Bob Hope’s final deathbed gag, a chaotic 1913 Parisian ballet premiere, stolen 1980's fashion photography, and a classic hip-hop group name-change riddle. You'll have to listen to the full episode to see if Chris truly "completed Nirvana" as claimed. Now, regarding Landlord Harry Piles and his "pub renovation"—honestly? He hasn't done a single tap of actual work. Instead of picking up a paintbrush, Harry spent the session shouting from the bar, calling the hosts "sweaty duckers", aggressively barking the correct date, mourning his tragically missing gallbladder, and ordering people not to vomit in his beer garden. Peak productivity from Harry. You can hear us on all major platforms, so don't forget to subscribe wherever you get your shows at! Session 14 : April 24th

Oh well here we bloody well are! Matt is still enjoying the nicer weather in South Wales this Spring, Chris has been enjoying even sunnier climes in Malta, despite the constant construction work and church bells every 15 minutes. Meanwhile there's some reckies on the go including the new Peak Blinders film, Will and Harper, Dare Devil and.....Teen Wolf! Yes, it still stands up, even if its while surfing on top of a van. The April 24th's emerge as the birthday and to end all drum and bass birthdays and in deaths, we pay tribute to members of the almost rans 'Badfinger'. Plenty of Bealtes stuff going on as per! And to add to the current dystopian feel of the world right now, we celebrate the anniversary of the release of one of the best AI themed films ever made. Harry is on form this month, if a little grumpy as is often the case. episode Session 13 : March 27th artwork

Session 13 : March 27th

It’s March 2026, and the air at The Biz & Shizzle is thick with the scent of daffodils! Chris and Matty settled into the snug on Friday, March 27th, just as British Summer Time loomed. Chris arrived sporting a suspicious pink glow—allegedly from a 117K bike ride. Chris has been binging Oscar winners like Hamnet and the Norwegian masterpiece Sentimental Value. He claims he can "get by" with Norwegian but mostly had to rely on the subs. Matty rewatched The Fall Guy (2024) and is currently deep into a Peaky Blinders marathon. He’s averaging two episodes a night, mostly to spot all the Liverpool filming locations. The 27 Threes: Matty assembled a "Birthday Band" that would either be a Grammy-winning powerhouse or a total sonic nightmare. It features Mariah Carey, Fergie, and Jesse J on vocals, backed by the keyboardist from Genesis and a Japanese guitar hero. In Memoriam: The pub raised a glass to Ian Dury and Dudley Moore, the "sex thimble" who went out hearing the music all around him. Hip-Hop & Hams: The show got a much-needed injection of hip-hop history with the anniversary of Run DMC’s debut and Tupac Shakur’s Me Against the World—the first album to debut at number one while the artist was in the clink. The Fancy Fact In a crossover nobody asked for, it turns out Quentin Tarantino and Fergie were both in the film Planet Terror. Tarantino, playing a zombie, reportedly bit Fergie during a scene, proving that he really does get his teeth into a role—literally. The boys will be back on April 24th for Session 14, feeling a little bit older! You can hear us on all major platforms, so don't forget to subscribe wherever you get your shows at! Session 12 : February 27th

For February 27th we let you know the vaguely interesting things that happened in popular culture and we do it with, quite frankly, vim! Brace yourselves....It's our 1st Birthday Podcast. And we barely mention it. What do we talk about instead? Bread? No. Politics? Barely. Flesh? NO! But there's load of boss stuff to hear about. All we're saying is: Bowie - J Dilla. (if there's a few audio mistakes e.g. dogs, tummy rumbles and lips smacking, we're sorry, it's one of those months. It actually takes a lot of work to put one one of these things into the world) Listen in now.
