If you're a bboy/bgirl living in Texas, you've heard of the Thursday night battles hosted by Youth Advocates/Houston ReVision. It's the longest running practice spot in the state of Texas and has positively impacted the Texas Breakin' scene for the better. If it wasn't for the work that Charles Rotramel and Houston ReVision, HaviKORO may not have gone to Freestyle Session in 1999 and put Texas on the map when it comes to Breakin'. Now in their 25th year, Houston ReVision continues to serve youth in the greater Houston area. Lucas sat down with Charles to hear more of the history of the organization as well as discuss what it takes to build healthy dance communities.
