Acerca de The Whole Home Podcast

Home is a structure rooted in a particular location for people to dwell in. But it can be more than a physical dwelling. As a Christian, Jesus makes his home in you and you in him. You become the place where his Spirit dwells “at home.” This external and internal reality of “home” is what I call “Whole Home.” Whole Home is the dynamic relationship between the inner life of a Christian woman specifically and the outer “home” that she stewards. In one sense- a Christian woman is always “working from Home!” Home is not a static entity, but like a good garden it is always growing in fruitfulness and the Master Gardner is always at work. Let’s hear what He’s been doing!

A First Conversation with Laura Lauterio

Your host takes the hot seat for this one! My husband, Ryan, joins me for this interview and quizzes me on my past “soil.” Share in laughter and gratitude and have a listen! Thank you! The Whole Home podcast is a podcast for the women of a local church centered on giving God thanks and glory for his work throughout their lives up to the present day. “Whole Home” points to the internal/external reality of being “at home” in Jesus, which can be described as something like a garden. In this garden of life, we women plan, sow, and water. We are weeded, trained, and pruned, and at last we reap many harvests because of the kindness of a good God. Should we not be constantly sharing with each other this goodness by the hand of our Master Gardener? He is continuously at work for our good and his glory, and the women sharing on this podcast testify to that! John 15:5, Philippians 2:12-13, Ezekiel 36:27, Psalm 37:23, Hebrews 13:20-21, Ephesians 3:14-21. Music from the The Family Room and their song, “You Are” can be enjoyed here, The Shepherd, The Table, The Home – YouTube [https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_lJMmZpkYbG-gkdNw83iBaCV4S0RHPLA3s] A huge thanks to Rachel Seitz for designing the logo, to Garreth Blackwell for uploading episodes, to Callie Blackwell for designing the welcome letters, and to my kids for their quietness, encouragement, and prayers while I record. Also, to my church family, for their encouragement and witness of faithfulness to the Lord, and finally to my husband, Ryan, whose idea it was in the first place to do this crazy thing and who continually prays for me and helps me to honor God and my sisters-in-Christ in this endeavor- thank you!

A Second Conversation with Amanda Reed

Grab your tissue box! There will be some tears! Amanda’s testimony is of heartbreak in real time and how God is present and sustaining her in her garden. She also shares a wonderful perspective on raising kids, especially teens. Difficulty in our lives does not indicate an absence of God’s presence and faithful work- he is right there with us all the way. Thanks for listening! A First Conversation with Amanda Reed

Get to know Amanda better while you cook your Thanksgiving feast! There were so many surprising things that I learned about her- her love for singing solos, fashion design, a stint at Disney, not initially planning to have children and more! And don’t miss her very special tribute at the end! This episode is another reminder that we may not always see our direction, but always God does and he graciously shows us what is good. Thanks for listening! Thank you for listening as Autumn shares how God is maturing her in all aspects of her life as she digs into his Word, slows down, trusts his people for help and above all seeks to trust him patiently.
