unhetsplained
Today we’re joined by Imo, who is currently conducting research for a PhD at the University of Nottingham in collaboration with the British Games Institute and the National Videogame Museum. Imo tells us about their work to explore gamer subjectivities using oral history interviews, the intersection of gaming and alt-right identities, and the challenges of negotiating the gaming space as a marginalised person. We also discuss how redefining failure in gaming can create space for queer interpretations and narratives, and share our love of Role Playing Games as a space for queer exploration.
