In this part of his letter to the church in Ephesus, Paul reminds us that we were spiritually dead because of our sin, but God, in His great mercy, made us alive with Christ. We are saved by grace through faith—not by our own works—and created for good works. Because every one of us is equally in need of God's grace, no one deserves it more than another.
