BASED EP032: Richie Hell

The journey of Richie Hell is a trip, to say the least. Argentinian-born, but Miami-adopted Richie describes himself as a musical citizen of the world, limiting himself to nothing when it comes to the sounds he produces and spins. In his native country, Argentina, he’s widely known as a DJ, musician, radio host, and producer. He began winning over US audiences in 2015 when he moved to Miami to serve as Music Director for the renowned Faena Hotel. A lifelong record collector, Richie's original compositions throb with a steady universal beat, evoking everything from South American psychedelic obscurities to Madchester and P-Funk. At his eclectic live shows, one can expect driving percussion and bass, very special guest vocalists, and the occasional 12-foot-tall inflatable cobra created by his incredibly talented partner Francisca Oyhanarte, who is responsible for the artwork accompanying his releases. BASED EP031: Yucky Poor

Episode 31 of Based Miami features the amorphous Yucky Poor, a self-taught producer, songwriter, rapper, singer, engineer, and anything else he sets his mind to at this point: he's a jack of all trades. In this episode, we talk about his transition from experimental rap to alt-pop indie bangers, teaching himself to make music with little musical background, how Miami has inspired him to keep making art, and his creative visions turned to life through videos.

BASED EP029: Twelve'len

Episode 29 of Based Miami dives deep into the mind of our favorite Florida Boy, Twelve’len. From rapper to singer to producer in all senses of the word, there is no front Twelve’len fears to explore. In this episode, we talk everything from how he came up and why he lays so low, to his plans for the Miami community and what the future holds for him sonically. Twelve’Len is a Miami-based R&B singer that has garnered a lot of success independently. He has participated in a campaign for GAP, performed at various festivals (including iiiPoints and Austin City Limits), toured with Jameson Whiskey, and more recently was a guest for frequent collaborator Denzel Curry’s set on Billie Eillish’s When We All Fall Asleep tour.

BASED EP028: Dyna Edyne

This week's episode of Based features the effervescent vocalist Dyna Edyne. She always knew she was meant to use her vocal talent, citing that she’s been singing for as long as she can remember. She’s now taking Miami by storm with an R&B sound and versatility that we don’t come across often. Dyna has built up a following to become one of Miami's newest tastemakers. In this episode, we chat about her progression in music from her first EP “Branches” to now, her inspirations in her soundscape, the importance of having a cohesive online presence and storyline in this day and age, and what we’ll be hearing next from her. Throughout the episode, we’ll get to hear the old, the new, and the unreleased from the one and only, Dyna Edyne.
