Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.” — Psalm 62:5, 6 (ESV) “Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness.” — Ephesians 6:14 (ESV) ________________________________________ Ever feel like life is a game of chance, where everything is unpredictable and out of your control? It can feel that way when school, friendships, or even family situations get complicated. Proverbs 16:33 reminds us that even when things seem random, God is in control of every detail. Psalm 62 encourages us to find our rest in Him, trusting that He is our rock no matter what storms come. And Ephesians 6 shows us that we aren’t helpless—we can put on God’s armor to stand strong in the face of challenges, protecting ourselves with truth, righteousness, and faith. Life might feel uncertain, but God’s plan is sure. Trusting Him doesn’t mean we sit back and do nothing—it means we act faithfully, make wise choices, and stand firm in what is right, all while leaning on Him. Each decision, big or small, matters because God is guiding us, even when we can’t see the outcome. ________________________________________ THINK ABOUT IT 1. Trust His Control: How can recognizing that “every decision is from the Lord” (Proverbs 16:33) change the way you respond to unexpected events in your life? 2. Rest in God: What practical ways can you turn to God for rest and strength when life feels overwhelming (Psalm 62:5-6)? 3. Arm Yourself Daily: What pieces of God’s armor (Ephesians 6:14) do you need to focus on today to stand strong against pressure, peer influence, or fear? ________________________________________ BOTTOM LINE Even when life feels uncertain, God is in control, and trusting Him equips you to stand firm with courage and confidence. ________________________________________ PRAYER Heavenly Father, thank You for being my rock and guiding every part of my life. Help me to trust You even when I don’t understand what’s happening, and give me the strength to stand firm in Your truth and righteousness. Teach me to rest in You, act wisely, and rely on Your armor each day. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
