Beschreibung

Welcome to Day 7 of our Jabez journey! Today, we focus on the power and beauty of praying the names of God. When I pray the prayer of Jabez, I like to begin with worship—praising God by His many names. Like Jabez, I want to acknowledge the God I’m praying to, just as Jesus taught us, “Hallowed be Thy name.” The following names for God, are found in scriptures speak of the beauty of his nature. His name is, Jehovah-M’Kaddesh (our cleanser and sanctifier), Jehovah-rohi (our shepherd), Jehovah-rophe (our healer). These names of God came from real people who experienced his hand of provision, protection, and deliverance in their life stories. We’re invited to do the same—celebrate the names of God from Scripture, and recognize how he reveals himself personally through our own experiences. God is not distant; he is personal, present, and intimately involved in every detail of our lives. Heavenly Father, We praise you for your beautiful names—our peace, healer, shepherd, redeemer, cleanser, and friend. Thank you for being personal and present with us. As we pray, we invite you into every area of our lives. Spirit of God, write stories of redemption through us. Jesus, teach us to pray and to see your hands in our everyday moments. May the Spirit of the Lord rest on us today—the Spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge, and the fear of the Lord. Fill us with extraordinary wisdom, perfect understanding, wise strategy, mighty power, and deep reverence for you. Thank you for answering when we call and for walking with us every step of the way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The God Who Is Always There—Day 6

Welcome to Day 6 of our Jabez journey! Today, we look at the beautiful names of God that Jabez called upon: Jehovah-shalom (the Lord is Peace), Jehovah-tsidkenu (the Lord our Righteousness), Jehovah-shammah (the Lord is There). Each name reveals God’s heart and His promises to His people and to us. When Israel faced fear and chaos, they found peace and safety in Jehovah-shalom. When they needed restoration and justice, Jehovah-tsidkenu was their redeemer. And in times of exile or loneliness or sadness, Jehovah-shammah was their assurance that God’s presence would never leave them. As we pray today, remember that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever, no matter our circumstances. Heavenly Father, We praise You as Jehovah-shalom, our source of true peace. We ask for a Jesus-type calmness over our hearts, and that the storm of fear will settle down. You are Jehovah-tsidkenu, our righteousness—thank you for restoring and redeeming us and being our guide as our Good Shepherd. And you are Jehovah-shammah, the God who is always present. Even when we feel alone or uncertain, may we experience a sign and a wonder that reminds us that you are always with us. Bless us indeed, enlarge our territory, and let your hand be strong upon us today. Keep us from harm and grant us validation, vindication, and victory. We trust you to guide us into every promise you have for us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The God Who Protects and Provides—Day 5

Welcome to Day 5 of our Jabez journey! Today, we focus on the One to whom Jabez prayed—the God of Israel. In Scripture, God is known by many names, each revealing a part of His character and His promises to us. The compound names of God, beginning with “Jehovah,” remind us of His supremacy and all He has done for His people. Jehovah-jireh means “the Lord will provide”—the God who sees and meets our needs. Jehovah-nissi means “the Lord is my banner”—our victory, protection, and rallying point in every battle. As we pray, we’re not calling out to a distant, uninvolved deity, but to a God who provides, protects, and leads us forward with love and purpose. Heavenly Father, Today, we call on you—the God of Israel, our Jehovah-jireh and Jehovah-nissi. Thank you for being the God who sees, who provides, and who covers us with victory and protection. Just as you provided for Abraham, Moses, and David, and Esther and Deborah, and gave victory to Israel, we trust you to guide us, meet our needs, heal us, and fight our battles. Lift us up when we grow weary, and surround us with your faithful presence. Expand our borders, bless us indeed, and let your hand be with us in all we do. Keep us from evil and lead us into your purpose and peace. May Your banner over us be love, and may our lives be a testimony to your goodness and faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Episode Day 4—Stepping Into God’s Preferred Future For Us Cover

Day 4—Stepping Into God’s Preferred Future For Us

Hello friend, welcome to another day on our Jabez journey! When we look at the story of Jabez in Scripture, we see a man whose very name reminded him of pain and hardship. But Jabez didn’t let his past or any negative label define his destiny. He took his needs, his dreams, and his hopes straight to God, boldly asking for blessing, provision, and purpose. And you know what? God honored that prayer! It reminds us that our identity isn’t set by our circumstances, but by the loving God who hears and answers when we call. No matter where you started or where you are today, God is inviting you into His heart, His hand, and His ways—for a positive, preferred, providential future. Let’s pray together: Heavenly Father, Thank you for seeing beyond our past and pain. Like Jabez, we come to you believing in your power to bless and make a way. Propel us into our calling, destiny, and purpose. We ask for your prosperity and protection. Where we feel limited or weighed down, bring healing and restoration. Increase our faith for greater influence, and give us a Christ-like capacity to love and serve others. Keep your hand upon us and guard us from harm. Make us people who walk in your Spirit, overflowing with kindness and grace—reflecting your goodness everywhere we go. We trust you to redeem our stories and lead us into a future filled with hope, purpose, and abundant blessings as you make us the head and not the tail, the top and not the bottom, blessed in our coming and blessed in our going, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Redeemed Identity—Day 3 of the Jabez Journey

Welcome to Day 3 of our Jabez journey. Today, we reflect on the name “Jabez”—a name his mother gave him because she bore him in pain. In ancient cultures, a name wasn’t just a label; it was a declaration of destiny and identity. Every time someone called Jabez, they were calling him “Pain” or “Sorrow.” Imagine living each day with a name that speaks hardship over you! Yet, despite this legacy of difficulty, Jabez became a man of honor, known for his prayer and for God’s answer. His story reminds us that our identity is not defined by past failure or shame, but by the God who redeems. Let us pray. Heavenly Father, Thank you that you see beyond the names, labels, or pain that our past may have given us. Like Jabez, many of us walk through life carrying memories, wounds, or words that speak of hardship or disappointment. Father, we come to you seeking redemption and restoration. We ask for your healing in places of our hearts marked by sorrow or struggle. We pray for those still suffering—physically, emotionally, mentally, or relationally—especially where resources or support are lacking, that you will bring a turnaround in their lives as you did for Jabez. Bless us, O Lord, and enlarge our borders—expand our hope, our influence, and healing in our lives. Let your hand be with us; keep us from evil and harm. May our lives speak not of pain, but of your amazing grace and redemption. Amen.
