Carbon Farming Odyssey
Welcome to a new episode of Carbon Farming Odyssey. In this episode, Piotr Jurga (IUNG-PIB) talks with Dr Bettina Fähnrich, Senior Researcher at Naturland – Association for Organic Agriculture, about the role of organic farming in building resilient soils and supporting climate-smart agriculture. Drawing on her research and hands-on experience with organic farmers, Bettina explains why carbon farming is closely linked to humus development, consumer awareness, and long-term sustainability. The conversation highlights how knowledge transfer, cooperation along the value chain, and trust from consumers can motivate farmers to adopt climate-friendly practices. -------------------------------- The podcast series Carbon Farming Odyssey is produced by the Institute of Soil Science and Plant Cultivation – State Research Institute (IUNG-PIB), Poland, within the Carbon Farming CE project, supported by the Interreg Central Europe Programme with co-financing from the European Regional Development Fund.
