Beschreibung

In Luke 7, a woman known as “sinful” enters a Pharisee’s home where Jesus is eating and, in deep repentance and love, washes His feet with her tears, wipes them with her hair, and anoints Him with expensive perfume. While the religious leader Simon judges her and questions Jesus for allowing her to touch Him, Jesus responds by teaching that those who are forgiven more love more, showing that the woman’s actions come from a heart overwhelmed by mercy. The story’s meaning is that Jesus sees beyond reputation to the heart, offering forgiveness and peace to anyone who comes to Him in faith and humility, regardless of their past.

Around the Round Table: Honest Conversations with Women in the Bible

Welcome back to The Chaplain Allie Podcast. In this episode, we gather around a symbolic round table with women from Scripture—Rebekah, Rachel, Leah, Hannah, Bathsheba, and Michal—each sharing her unique experience with motherhood, grief, waiting, love, loss, and identity, reminding us that motherhood in the Bible was never one single story but many different journeys where God remained present in every season. Whether fulfilled, delayed, painful, silent, or still unfolding, each woman’s story points to the truth that God sees every woman equally, values every story, and continues writing each life with purpose and favor. Also, throughout the episode, you may notice that I pronounced Michal’s name differently at times—and that is completely okay. With listeners from many cultures and regions around the world, biblical names are often pronounced in different ways, and all are welcomed here with grace and understanding.
