On today's show I got the opportunity to sit with Dr. Tamarah Davis, a dean at a Charter school in Boston. We got to sit down and talk a bit about her dissertation about Teacher Self Care, you can find a link to her paper below. We spoke more about her time at Hampton University, the rise in education expectations being a first generation in her family to attend college. Find yourself humming your favorite song, getting songs stuck in your head, or even relistening to those songs that remind you of your favorite memories? I thought about that too and wanted to get a chance to sit down with a music educator in the Boston Private school system. I've had a chance to work in the same classroom as Mr. O and really enjoyed how he was able to incorporate and introduce these students to oldies and goodies from a range of plays and pop culture hits. In this episode we spoke about what it's like going through the interview process for music schools.
