I love Pastor Ben's perspective on the passage that's being taught today. Many people might equate the rooster crowing as a warning, or even as a confirmation of “see, I told you so I predicted that this would happen, and here we are.” But we all know that a rooster crowing signifies that it's very early in the morning, before sunrise of a new day. What hope it suddenly offered to Peter that from this moment he would have remorse about what he done, and that he would turn from his sin, and repent. It would be like sewage and the sweetest grapevine commingling. Imagine if you had to taste those two things together, or the mix of those two smells being in the same place. In a similar way today Pastor Ben expresses how sin and blessings don't coexist. If you're choosing a wayward lifestyle, then God won't be extending His blessing in your life. Although it may feel a bit disheartening to learn about Judas's betrayal Pastor Ben brings some encouragement today. Helping direct your attention and focus to the fact that the other 11 disciples remained faithful and resolute in their allegiance to Jesus. After His death and resurrection they went on to be pillars of the faith, and brought the good news to the nations. When you choose to follow Jesus you're His forever.
