A parting goodbye can be a sorrowful thing. When we know we won't see someone we love for a long time or even possibly ever again, it can be difficult to bid them farewell. That's the intensity that we see when we look at Jesus and His disciples in the upper room during the Last Supper. In His message today Pastor Ben expresses to you that Jesus fulfilled His promise to return to His disciples after He rose from the grave, and so Jesus promises us in His word that He's coming back to us again and He will. When someone who's dear to our hearts passes away, we feel a need to honor the memory of that person. We often celebrate the life of a loved one in a memorial service. Through singing and storytelling and even looking at pictures of them. A car without a driver isn't a very useful thing. Yeah I know, they have self-driving cars now. But even those need operators really. But that's beside the point. What I'm trying to get to is that when the car has someone like you behind the wheel then it'll take you to all kinds of places.
