Come, Follow Me Moms Podcast July 20–26 2 Chronicles 14–20, 26, 30 Our Eyes Are Upon Thee LDS Scripture Study | Come, Follow Me | Christian Motherhood | Bible Study for Moms | Prayer and Faith Welcome back to another episode of Come, Follow Me Moms! 💕 This is your weekly motherhood Come, Follow Me podcast where we pull out the meat and potatoes of each week's lesson from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and apply it to real life motherhood. This week we are studying 2 Chronicles 14–20, 26, and 30, and wow... this lesson hit me deeply. The question that kept coming to my mind all week was: What do faithful people do when life doesn't make sense? Because let's be honest, moms don't usually live in easy answers. We live in the middle of: * Prodigal children * Scary diagnoses * Financial stress * Marriage struggles * Depression and anxiety * Pregnancy complications * Exhaustion * Unanswered prayers And that's exactly where the kings in this week's lesson found themselves. In this episode we discuss: ✨ The story of King Asa and what he teaches us about relying on God ✨ Why a good beginning doesn't guarantee a good ending ✨ President Dallin H. Oaks' invitation to become peacemakers ✨ Elder D. Todd Christofferson's powerful message about trusting God even when He doesn't answer the way we hoped ✨ Jehoshaphat, Micaiah, Ahab, and learning to listen to true prophets ✨ Why your worst mistake does not define your story ✨ The incredible story of three armies gathering against Judah ✨ One of the most powerful prayers in scripture: "Neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee." — 2 Chronicles 20:12 ✨ What it means when the Lord says: "The battle is not yours, but God's." — 2 Chronicles 20:15 ✨ Why the singers went before the soldiers ✨ Praise before victory ✨ Worship before deliverance ✨ Faith before answers ✨ How Hezekiah gathered the people back to God through worship, singing, and remembrance A Personal Story This week I share a personal experience surrounding the Forrest Frank concert, worshipping with thousands of Christians, and a late-night prayer for my son that reminded me of God's awareness and love. As I studied this lesson, I couldn't stop thinking about Forrest Frank's song: "Somebody Prayed" Because every chapter felt like another reminder that miracles often begin with prayer. Maybe you're where you are today because somebody prayed. Maybe your children are being blessed because somebody prayed. And maybe that somebody is you. Key Scriptures 📖 2 Chronicles 14:11 📖 2 Chronicles 15:2 📖 2 Chronicles 16:9 📖 2 Chronicles 20:12 📖 2 Chronicles 20:15 📖 2 Chronicles 20:17 📖 2 Chronicles 20:20 📖 Proverbs 3:5–6 Questions to Ponder This Week ❤️ What battle am I trying to fight on my own? ❤️ Am I relying on God or relying only on myself? ❤️ What burdens have I picked up that belong to God? ❤️ How can I become a peacemaker in my home? ❤️ What would change if I kept my eyes on Christ instead of my circumstances? This Week's Invitation If you're carrying something heavy right now, let Jehoshaphat's prayer become your prayer: "Lord, I don't know what to do... but my eyes are upon Thee." And remember: **The battle is not yours. It is God's.** Maybe years from now you'll look back and realize that the miracle started the moment... Somebody prayed. ❤️ 🎧 If this episode blessed you, please share it with a friend, sister, daughter, or fellow mom who may need this reminder today. Because none of us were meant to fight our battles alone.
