Episode 8- Heather

Listen in on my conversation with Heather, 5th grade teacher.  She's been practicing Conscious Discipline longer than I have and I always learn so much from her.  When I work with teachers who are hesitant to understand how Conscious Discipline can be used in intermediate grades I always use Heather as an example.  She builds safety and connection through her class family and we hope this podcast is helpful to intermediate teachers, especially those who just aren't quite sure.  From our hearts to yours, we wish you well!

Episode 7 - Emily

In this episode I chat with Emily Salmon, Character Education Special Area Teacher at Riverview Elementary.  Emily's unique position allows her to see every student in her building.  She teaches SEL skills by braiding together various programs with her own creativity.  Emily hasn't lost her kindergarten teacher energy switching to this position and shares some of her brilliance with all of us.  As always, we wish you well!!

Episode 6- Candace

Our first conversation with an administrator is straight fire!  Candace is currently the Assistant Principal at Oakleigh Elementary but I met her when she was AP at Milbrook Elementary.  With a degree and background in school psychology, Candace brings a wealth of knowledge and experience.  Plus, she's a great friend so we had fun with this one.  We talk about working with adults first, ideas for staff and students, how to make sure you are mindful as well as culturally responsive to your students and community.  Again, I went a little over my commitment to 30 minutes but it's well worth it!  From our hearts to yours, we wish you well!
