Beschreibung

We open on a banana bread delivery disaster and the veryyy specific rage that comes with putting in the conscious effort to order a sweet treat only for it to go wrong. Delivery culture brings out a side of us we are not proud of and we are not apologizing for it.We discuss cultural differences when living broad, and get into the cultural whiplash of US urgency versus Colombian tranqui energy. We learn from both cultural attitudes. Catholic shame gets a moment. Growing up with the sense that certain body parts were a little dirty and very private. Which leads us naturally, into the great bush debate. Is it back? Is it not? Different styles, preferences, how it ties into the patriarchy, and somehow we end up confused between talking about body hair and George W. Bush. It's called rangeeee people. We close on Haley being born without a filter and learning to use one, Brianna being unfiltered in private and working on owning all parts of herself publicly. Growth.

Episode Great Latino Awakenings, Chet Hanks, & Scallops Cover

Great Latino Awakenings, Chet Hanks, & Scallops

Our Zodiac people, this one's for you. We kick off with Brianna going on a date with a mystic and Haley talking astrology with her mother and predictions for her upcoming trip to Peru. Brianna then gets into honoring her grandmother's intuitive gifts and palm reading 🔮🪬 Then Brianna attempts a Chet Hanks deep dive with zero. context. Why you ask? We are still unclear; however, she then proceeds to ask Haley what she thinks. Synopsis: White boy swag, tattoos, nomadic lifestyle, and red flag vibes. Unfortunately, we are fully on board and we say this with love.Dating and approaching styles take over and Haley has zero gray area and comes in full guns blazing, meanwhile Brianna takes an L from Haley and admits she needs to step up her game and can be a bit cringe. We get into first moves, why we think casual beats dinner for a first date **most times, and Haley's discernment era of simply not fighting for a man who isn't interested. Brianna chats about wanting to be the spiritual one in a relationship while her partner stays grounded. We loveeee a spiritual baddie lifestyle. We close out on spirit guides, cheek kissing as a greeting being genuinely uncomfortable in the US, the 90s straight hair era vs embracing your curls, and our one 👏 dating 👏 non-negotiable 👏 If we're dating someone, there MUST be touching at all times. Always. Thank you.

Toxic Boundaries, Energy Vampires, & The Manosphere

We're BACK babyyyyy. Welcome to week 5 of being Consciously Delusional! This week we kick things off talking about the people we surround ourselves with and why spending time with those who fill up your cup changes everything. Hermit mode is mentioned, Haley accidentally says hobbit mode... the Frodo energy is immediate and in full throttle. Boundaries are up next. Where they help, where they tip into overdrive, and when you just need to show up anyway. Sometimes you have to give a little, and we discuss where that balance actually lives. We also get into weekly horoscopes and make the case that a little madness and delusion might be exactly the boost you need.⚡️ Then we pivot. The manosphere documentary and why we found it hard to watch, Haley's red pill IG explore page takeover gets a mention, and we discuss why we love men who provide and lead but absolutely do not support the movement. Brianna uses the word nuanced approximately one hundred times. We continue. We wrap up on something we both feel deeply. How grateful we are to be women, how cancel culture has made most people terrified to say what they actually think, and how polarized things have become. We've lost the art of disagreeing and we'd love to find it again. Opinions can differ. Lead with curiosity. That's all. 💁‍♀️

Episode Summer House Scandal, Big D**K Energy, and Aura Farming Cover

Summer House Scandal, Big D**K Energy, and Aura Farming

We're coming in hot this week... Haley, our resident pop culture correspondent, breaks down the Summer House drama that took over the Bravo Nation... why did Amanda do what she did, why did Wes get off so easy, and how Rihanna apparently slid into Ciara's DMs about Michael B. Jordan. This breaks Brianna's heart and her pipe dream of marrying him takes a hit. We also get into the Kit Kat heist, corporate greed, and Haley shares why Nestlé is cancelled in this household. From there, we chat about the WSJ study claiming kids do not bring happiness and what we want for ourselves personally. Brianna shares a genuinely moving cacao ceremony experience and the unexpected connection she felt to her grandmothers on both sides. Then we talk about how the gym can feel like a porno when people start stretching. Range. We wrap up with how we'd feel if a friend dated an ex and Brianna calls Dory from Finding Nemo "Doris"... We move on.

Episode We’re not toxic….we just dream about it 🧪😈 Cover

We’re not toxic….we just dream about it 🧪😈

We're back and our energy is fully restored, which means we have a lot to say. This week: Brianna's hermit era officially over, going California sober, a guy who bought Haley roses and got nothing in return, and Haley possibly, maybe, tentatively considering dating again. We also get real about burning out physically and mentally and knowing when to pivot, attachment styles, the Medellín men starter pack, the messaging we got about relationships growing up, and the eternal question: is it worse to do the breaking up or be the one broken up with? Oh, and the story of how a well-intentioned microdose turned into a full accidental macrodose - all thanks to the guy they just met who thought red strobe lights, blasting music, and remaining completely unbothered by his pregnant wife in the other room was a solid start to the night. We cannot make this up. Grab a drink. Or don't... we might be California sober now.
