Conspiracy Kitchen Podcast
On June 12, 1977, three little girls — Lori Farmer (8), Michelle Guse (9), and Denise Milner (10) — arrived at Camp Scott in Oklahoma for their first summer camp adventure. They were placed in the most isolated tent (#8), farthest from the counselors. Two months earlier, a chilling note was found: “We are on a mission to kill three girls in tent one.” It was dismissed as a prank. That stormy night, the girls were abducted from their tent, sexually assaulted, brutally beaten, and strangled. Their bodies were dragged 150 yards, staged, and left with a red flashlight placed on top like a calling card. A local escaped rapist, Gene Leroy Hart, was arrested and tried — but acquitted. Later DNA “strongly suggests” him… yet heavy vehicle traffic on a remote road that night, the plural “We” in the note, and multiple burglaries for supplies tell a different story. Was Hart the lone killer? Or was he the perfect scapegoat for something much darker — possibly multiple perpetrators with ties to the area? From ignored warnings and shocking negligence to ritualistic theories and unresolved questions, this case exposes how three innocent girls were failed by everyone supposed to protect them. If you loved the “killer in the attic” dread of Hinterkaifeck, this one hits even harder. The Note Was Ignored. The Girls Paid the Price.
