Conversations With God with Doug Sherman
Most people treat God like an invisible professor. Someone who dispenses truth and principles, then steps back while you figure out the application. This is a downright lie. In this episode, Doug makes the case that God is always at work in your life. He points to Psalm 145 and the call for one generation to declare God's mighty acts to the next and a rhythm of looking for his hand and naming what you see. Action item: Set alarms for 10am, 4pm, and 8pm. At each one, say: "God, thank you that you are always at work in my life" — then add one specific thing he did that day. Try to make each alarm a different one. Before bed, reflect on how looking for his hand changed what you noticed.
