This week on Crafting the Case, Ashley takes us through the eerie history of the infamous “27 Club” — the tragic group of musicians and artists who all died at the age of 27. From legendary careers to conspiracy theories and the darker side of fame, we dive into the stories behind some of music’s most iconic losses. Meanwhile, Tara and Sandi continue bedazzling their oversized Diet Coke cans because apparently one episode was not enough for this craft chaos. Expect rhinestones, questionable design choices, distractions, and lots of laughs along the way. 😂 As always, we wrap things up with an aftershow full of random conversations, updates, and fun. 🎙️ New episodes every week! #CraftingTheCase #TrueCrimePodcast #27Club #MusicMysteries #CraftPodcast #TrueCrimeAndCrafts #PodcastLife #Bedazzled #AftershowChaos

Episode 39 - Uniforms and Unraveling

This week on Crafting the Case, we dive into one of Canada’s most chilling and infamous cases — the story of former Canadian Forces Colonel Russell Williams. From his secret double life and escalating break-ins to the shocking investigation that unraveled everything, we unpack how someone viewed as disciplined, respected, and trustworthy hid horrifying crimes in plain sight. Meanwhile, the girls continue working on their picnic table craft project from a few episodes ago, using modeling clay to create tiny food, decor, and accessories for their miniature picnic scenes… with lots of laughs, chaos, and questionable artistic choices along the way. 😂 And of course, we wrap things up with our usual aftershow chat! 🎙️ New episodes every week! #CraftingTheCase #TrueCrimePodcast #RussellWilliams #CanadianTrueCrime #NovaScotia #CapeBreton #JessicaLloyd #CraftPodcast #PodcastLife #TrueCrimeCommunity

Episode 36 - Prophets and Paintings

Episode 36… or 37?? honestly who knows at this point 😂 This week on Crafting the Case, Sandi dives into the disturbing story behind the FLDS group and Samuel Bateman, unpacking the events leading up to the recent Netflix documentary and how it all connects back to the ongoing legacy of control, power, and manipulation within the FLDS. While the story unfolds, Tara leads us through a calming (and much-needed) acrylic painting session on canvas 🎨✨ — a slight emotional contrast to the case, to say the least. We’re not done yet though… next week we’re continuing the project by adding molding clay to create a full picnic scene 🧺🌼 As always, we wrap things up with our aftershow — chatting books, shows we’re loving lately, and exchanging some very on-brand little gifts 💅🎁 Dark stories, cozy crafts, and a little bit of chaos — just how we like it.
